Russell’s journey as CEO and founder of Fuse Capital Group (FCG) is defined by a relentless drive to help businesses thrive where conventional finance falls short. Growing up, he learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and curiosity early on — traits that have shaped his entrepreneurial path for more than 30 years in the workforce. 

Over the past two decades, Russell has built an impressive record of starting, acquiring, and growing businesses — founding two, acquiring two more, and successfully exiting one. His first venture, Envido, underscored the transformative power of strategic debt financing as both a growth accelerator and a catalyst for successful exits. That experience inspired him to launch the Fuse Capital brand in 2013 with a clear mission: to help SMEs access the finance they need to scale. Twelve years later, that mission remains unchanged. 

At FCG, Russell has personally structured and closed over 200 private debt transactions, always focused on aligning the needs of both clients and lenders. He has advised hundreds of businesses across 15 countries in Europe and Asia, often solving complex deals that others thought impossible. What he enjoys most are the intricate mandates that force creativity — finding a way through when conventional routes don’t work and earning client trust in the process. 

Beyond transactions, Russell takes pride in building a team and culture that combines ownership, collaboration, and curiosity. From a standing start, the firm has grown into a global advisory with reach across multiple regions, while staying dedicated to its purpose: helping ambitious businesses grow without compromise. 

Away from the business, Russell is a devoted father of two, a lifelong Tottenham Hotspur supporter, and a keen football player himself. He’s also an avid reader of business books, autobiographies, and the business press. 

Looking ahead, Russell remains focused on scaling FCG further — building on its global foundation to create something truly special. Guided by the principle that hard work beats talent and often quoting his own belief to young finance professionals — “stay curious, ask good questions, and don’t pretend to know what you don’t” — he continues to combine humility with hunger, driving FCG and its clients toward extraordinary outcomes.
